A: Finding cheap insurance online is pretty simple, but cheap SR22 insurance online is a little more of a challenge. The basic idea, though, after you’ve gotten the best quote, is to sacrifice and discount until you can’t anymore.
By sacrifice, I mean that perhaps one of the reasons for why you can’t find cheap SR22 insurance online is that you are looking for too much coverage. If you lower your coverage to just liability, or even to just the liability required by your state, then you will see about half of your premium just drop away.
Your ability to do this depends on your circumstances. For example, if you are financing a car, you cannot cut your coverage to liability. However if you own your car, and that car is worth less than one thousand dollars, then you do need to and should be able to cut your coverage to the minimum, and in fact should have done so long ago.
