Auto Insurance Denver Colorado CO
Reader’s Question:
I have happily moved to Denver and I am more than happier than ever. I like my neighborhood, love my job! Though I am partially settled, would like to know details on car insurance in Denever Colorado CO for I do not want to drive around under-insured.

Denver, CO
Your car insurance in Denver is regulated at the state level of Colorado which has its own guidelines concerning the minimum car insurance coverage required. All 50 states have laws regarding the minimum amount of liability coverage you must have in order to legally drive your vehicle. Liability coverage is car insurance that covers damage you cause to other people and their property.
Colorado auto insurance state minimums are expressed in three parts. Say in Denver, Colorado’s legal minimums are 25/50/15. The first number refers to the maximum amount your insurance company in Denver will pay for injuries sustained by a single individual, per accident; the second number refers to the maximum amount your insurer will pay for all injuries in a single accident; and the third number is the maximum amount your insurer in Denver CO will pay for property damage, per accident. So for the state where you are, this translates into $25,000 of bodily injury coverage per victim; $50,000 of bodily injury coverage per accident; and $15,000 of property damage coverage per accident.
Keep in mind that these are Colorado state minimums and it is always wise to carry coverage in excess of them. So in Denver, if you were in an accident that caused $100,000 in bodily injury damages to another motorist, your insurance would only cover the first $25,000. For the other $75,000 will cost you as the injured motorist could come after you!
